St. Patty's Day Fun

This St. Patrick's Day was fun!  It fell on a Saturday this year and as usual, Chad had to work.  Caleigh had spent Friday night with her Nonnie and she came home Saturday around noon.  We hung out at home for the rest of the afternoon and then we headed to Granny's.

My friend, Melissa, wanted to hang out with me for the night, so I left Caleigh at Granny's and her and I decided to head to the McDonough Square since they had been advertising all of their St. Patrick's Day festivities for months.

Once we were on the square, we felt a little jilted.  We didn't have "reservations" at any of the restaurants so it seemed as though no one could accomadate us.

We left the square and headed to a local mexican food spot and enjoyed a nice meal and some adult beverages.  We were also entertained by some of the cast from a local theater group who were at the restaurant promoting their upcoming play, Hairspray.  Chad and I had agreed we wanted to go see this play since it was on the weekend of our anniversary and I love the movie.  So, it was a bonus that we scored free tickets to the show that night!

After dinner, we headed back to my house for a minute and picked up Chad who was getting home from work.  We took a few more silly pictures and then headed out to a new local place called The French Market.

The restaurant closed down early that night and then turned itself into a club complete with a dance floor and DJ who was playing a mix of 80's and today's music.  It was nice to have a night out to just hang out and dance.
