Barbie, Barbie, Barbie!
Caleigh wanted a Barbie party to celebrate her fifth birthday this year. With the help of her Granny, we threw her the most awesome party she has ever had! Granny made tons of decorations and everything turned out better than I could have imagined. Of course, there were a few moments where Caleigh wasn't so sure about things but it all worked out. This year, Caleigh wanted to invite friends from school to her party. In the past, her parties have been mainly family and a few close friends. Due to this fact, my mom decided to let us host her party at the building owned by her garden club. The large open space and kitchen were perfect for everything we had planned.
Once everyone had arrived, the girls began eating. There was tons of party food...pizza, chips and dip, grapes, rice krispie treats, brownies, veggies, etc.
After eating, all the girls gathered out front for a special surprise!!!
Here comes.....
BARBIE!
The girls were absolutely speechless! They all were so stunned that they couldn't even respond to Barbie's questions. The look of shock on Caleigh's face will forever stay in my heart. She was so star-struck she didn't know what to do!
Barbie asked Caleigh if she could come in a join the party and then the fun began!
There was Pin the Shades on Barbie.
Barbie Freeze Dance
Barbie Hot Potato
Barbie Fashion Relay
and Barbie Musical Chairs.
Caleigh wasn't too thrilled that she didn't get to win at any of the games and had to be reminded that she didn't need prizes because her friends had all brought her presents. The prizes were for them!
After games, it was picture time! All the girls got their picture made with Barbie.
This is one of my most favorite pics!
After pictures, it was time for cake. I had put relighting candles on the cake for her and they began to spark while everyone was singing. Caleigh began to throw a fit and threw herself on top of me. She burned her arm on the lighter and then tossed me to the ground. She refused to blow out her candles and so, Barbie had to take care of it for her.
Once this disaster was over, everyone enjoyed some of her Barbie Dreamhouse cake while she opened her presents. Barbie stayed right with the birthday girl the entire time and Caleigh could not have felt more special!
Thanks Barbie! ; )
All the girls left with a great "SWAG BAG" full of Barbie toys, games, puzzles, makeup, flip-flops, bubbles, cups, candy, etc! This party really made my princess feel like one for the day!
Simply AMAZING!
We love you so much Caleigh Jo!
Happy 5th Birthday!
