Easter

Easter celebrations this year were really fun again now that there are three little ones to participate in the festivites. Thankfully, Chad's office was closed on Easter Sunday so after we saw what the Easter Bunny brought Caleigh, we got to attend Easter church services and then went to my parents' house for lunch.
(As per tradition, EB brought her a new swim suit for the summer!) I was in charge of making mac and cheese again and I made that and some corn on the cob and some Stove-Top to go along with the ham and fried turkey my parents were making. Caleigh loves ham however, I had to break out the Easy Mac for her to eat something other than ham and bread. We are slowly working on getting her to willingly try new foods but family get togethers are not a good setting to work on this so we stick to what we know is safe. As I did last year, I brought some plain sugar cookies and some colored icing and sprinkles for everyone to decorate with. It seemed to go over well last year and everyone seemed to enjoy doing it again this year. I may have to make it an annual thing. I try to take pictures of the cookies after they are decorated but some nameless people (Granny) ate their cookies before I could do so. The adults seem to have as much fun with this as the kids do.
Wait, did I just call my sisters and myself "adults"? I still look around for my parents when someone asks for an adult, lol. After the yummy lunch, we put together the trampoline that the girls got for Christmas. Yes, it took until Easter for them to get to play on it. Caleigh was beyond excited and her littlest cousin thought it was great as well.
The middle cousin, well, she hated it. She hated it alot. She wanted off as soon as she got on.
The "adults" took turns as well and it brought back many childhood memories for all of us.
After the smaller kids took naps, the adults hid the Easter eggs. The little ones looked absolutely adorable searching for eggs all dressed up in their Easter attire. I could easliy remember myself being in that same yard in my own Easter dresses and searching for eggs every year throughout my own childhood.
Happy Easter Ya'll!
