Valentine's Day happens to be a pretty big day in my life. It is the day I came into this world and the day my parents decided that they loved each other enough to get married. Same day, different years. I had to learn early on to make that distinction so I didn't make it seem like my mom was giving birth while walking down the asile.
I woke up the morning of my birthday to a super cute surprise. Caleigh wanted to decorate for my birthday so I had a Tangled birthday banner hung up and my presents were wrapped in a Rupunzel bag.
For weeks, Caleigh had been telling me that I needed some Shout Color Catchers and some Neutrogena Makeup Remover wipes for my birthday. I had been letting her watch some shows on other television stations and she had seen commercials for these products and they had convinced her that I needed them. I saw how influential the commercials were being and went back to the station with no product advertisments only!
However, I have to admit that I do use the wipes and the color catchers. LOL
This year, Caleigh's preschool was holding a "Fairy Tale Ball" on Valentine's day. All of the children were encouraged to dress up in princess, knight, or fairy tale character costumes. Caleigh wanted to dress like a princess, so we ended up purchasing a pink dress and she proclaimed that she was Aurora.
Chad was off work that day, so we got to attend the ball and watch her and her classmates sing, dance, and giggle together.
Afterwards, Chad, Caleigh, and I went to Olive Garden for a special birthday/Valentine's Day lunch together. Caleigh wore her tiara the entire time!
That evening when we got home, Caleigh got her Valentine's from Chad and I and she even got cards and packages in the mail. She was super excited!
What happened to the story about "Happy Birthday Mandy"(finger waving back and forth)?
ReplyDeleteThat did not take place ON my birthday! LOL!
