Olympic Day
Caleigh had Olympic Day at her school again this year. Last year, I didn't go. And, she made me feel TERRIBLE about it. She asked where I was and why I was "the only mom who didn't come?" I knew that I wasn't the only one but in her eyes, I was. So this year, I HAD to be there. I took my camera and took pictures and watched the entire event. In addition, her school has started posting pictures on a school website and she was in lots of those pictures as well.

Family Fun Day
The Gwinnett Arena was celebrating it's anniversary and Ringling Brothers Circus was helping them celebrate. They hosted a free event at the box office featuring some performances from clowns, acrobats, martial arts demonstrators, and some ELEPHANTS. It took place on a Thursday and Chad happened to be off of work. So, we made the hour long trip to the arena to watch.
Caleigh couldn't see from where we were so she kept asking to watch from Chad's shoulders. 70lbs wiggling on your neck, shoulders, and back can't last very long!
About 20 minutes after the event was supposed to start, the ringmaster finally appeared and started the show.
After visiting the Disney Store in the mall and purchasing a birthday present for a friend and a Fairy Godmother doll for Caleigh, it was time to head home.
When we got on the road, we judged the time and the traffic and decided we should just stop and eat some dinner before making the drive back thorugh the city to get back home.
We ate at a Denny's that was "out" of everything we ordered and Caleigh spilled Chad's water all over his pants and his seat. It was a very eventful dinner and we were happy when it was done!

The ELEPHANTS were everyone's favorite part!
The clowns gave away bookmarks and noses.
Caleigh loved posing in front of the elephants!
Acrobats!
Huddling for a picture.....no, huddling to stay warm.
Afterward, we went over to the Bass Pro Shop.
They had a really large fire going in a really large fireplace. Normally, Caleigh is terrified of fires, but I think she must have been chilled to the bone because she wanted to sit next to me! Chad snapped a picture of this rare moment!
When we left Bass Pro Shop, we decided to walk the Sugarloaf Mills mall. Inside the mall is a Dave and Buster's. Caleigh has been to a Chuck E Cheese but never to anything like a Dave and Busters. We loaded $10 onto a game card and let Caleigh play away! She racked up 1500 tickets on her own and then Chad played a game and hit a 1000 ticket jackpot! Caleigh was so excited!
Chad and Caleigh both loved playing the giant electronic Connect 4 game!
When all the money off the game card was used up, we headed into the prize zone to see what she could get. She's used to being able to get a piece of candy and a cheap plastic toy when she is at CEC. Here, she was able to get a giant kickball, a pink slinkie, and a candy grabber. She was so proud.

Caleigh didn't last long once we were back on the road. We wore her out with fun!
